This Saturday, November 9th, at 6.30 pm, at the Ravindra Bhawan film club, we are screening the popular classic The Sting (128 mins, 1973, English, with subtitles) starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
The film won 7 Oscars including Best Picture, Director, Screenplay, and Music Score (“The Entertainer” by Scott Joplin had become a rage after the film). Inspired by a real-life story, the film revolves around two scamsters played by Newman and Redford who are out there to con their boss (Robert Shaw), to get back at him. The film is directed by George Roy Hill who earlier directed the duo in Butch Cassidy.
